No PANE
Is our new program to combat Childhood Obesity. In partnership with UNA and Infant's and Children's Clinic, we are offering free classes on proper nutrition and family based exercises. Participating families will enjoy cooking demonstrations, nutritional tips, a family dinner, exercise plans and incentive prizes as they complete the 6 month program. We are not focusing on total weight loss, but an overall improvement toward a healthy lifestyle.

The Drug Scene

The
Children's Policy Council holds and annual program to educate students on
the dangers of drug use. This interactive program takes students on a tour
of the progression of drug use and related hospital and courtroom
experience.

Big Alcohol Mistake
The
Lauderdale County Children’s Policy Council conducted the first BAM! Program
this year during high school prom season. BAM!, which stands for Big Alcohol
Mistake, is aimed at showing high school juniors and seniors the danger of
drinking and driving. more »
Carson and Barnes Circus

The
Lauderdale County Children's Policy Council recently brought the Carson and
Barnes Circus to Florence, Alabama for their largest fundraiser of the year.
This program was a great success in the community and raised money essential
to the operation of the Policy Council.
