The Lauderdale County Children's Policy Council
is active with over 50 supportive members and 8 energetic committees. The
committees that compose the Policy Council have areas of specialties. The
committees with their respective specialties are:

Children growing up in a financially stable home
Education
Children learning the skills necessary to become educated
adults.
Health
Physical and mental well-being of children ages 0-19
Smart Start
Children ages 0 to 5 becoming fully developed emotionally,
socially, physically, and cognitively
Parent Involvement
Parents and guardians becoming effective in parenting
children
SAVE
Substance abuse and violence education in homes, schools, and
communities
Executive Committee
Those responsible for the day-to-day operations
